Things are going good here in DC. We have been really busy this summer. Kyle and I finally went on our honeymoon to St. Lucia. It was beautiful, we got there the day after hurricane Dean so we had some trouble with our resort. We made the best of it. I mean we were in the Caribbean with no child and no cell phones... Needless to say we made it work.
Owen was at Grandma and Granddad Owen's house because we sent Owen to The Suggs's in July for 2 weeks. They had so much fun! We did not tell Steve, Owen was coming so when he went to pick up Sue from the airport he had a little surprise. Kyle and I were ready for Owen to come home. Of course Kyle and I had a lot of fun as well.
When our little man got home we took him down to Yorktown, VA and went to the beach. Owen is one HUGE beach fan. As soon as we took his shoe's off he ran straight into the water. To our disbelief Owen did not eat any sand!!! He had so much fun playing in the sand and the water. He took a fishing net from a little girl and played with that for an hour. We spent the rest of the day shopping and eating!!
But before all of this fun we had Owen's first birthday!!!!!!! We ended up having 2 parties, one in Louisville and one in DC. The one in Louisville we had at Aunt Sherrill's house and Owen loved it. The one in DC we had at Kyle's base and Owen hated it.
So that was our busy and long summer!

It's about time! I was just thinking about you today... wondering how BIG Owen was by now. He is SO CUTE! Time goes by way to fast.

Hey Britney, thanks for putting me on your blog list... the pictures are great, and it seems as if ya'll had a great summer. You have the same great smile that I remember so well on Morris way back in the stone age when we were at UK... I can see by your comments that your mom and I have some catching up to do... so I guess it's time for me to give them a call...I do that once a decade or so. Owen is a doll, I thought he looked like Morris in his first few pictures, but now he is just an adorable tot. I keep seeing expressions that remind me of Vicki... then I'd say no, Morris... Isn't it wonderful when each generation takes a little of everyone and carries it on... I'm sure if I had been around you and Kyle I would think he looks just like the two of you.
Enjoy Virginia...as an Air Force Brat, I know what all that moving is about - I just hope Kyle gets to stay in the states.
